Discovering Self

Benefits of Self Actualization
Without Self Actualization you will live with stress and burden. [People under stress experience mental and physical symptoms, such as irritability, anger, fatigue, muscle pain, digestive troubles, and difficulty sleeping.
Stress and anxiety are often used interchangeably, and there is overlap between stress and anxiety.
Stress and anxiety can detrimentally impact one's quality of life.
Coping Skills. Improve Self-Esteem. ]
You have to face lack of freedom, no learning, lack of opportunities.
[What we find is impermanence and constantly missing the bedrock of our being to become a prisoner of the mind and its contents. We tend to identify ourselves with passing thoughts and feelings and take them as facts. Liberation from suffering and distress therefore lies in our ability to rest in simple, non-judgmental and compassionate awareness and not to be so moved by transient mental or sensory experiences. If we cultivate awareness and non-attachment to the mind and its contents, then we have the opportunity to live more fully and authentically and without the same level of hindrance from our moods, compulsions, desires and addictions.
Developing things like self-awareness, self-actualisation, non-attachment and acknowledging a deeper, observing self are ways to avoid or to extricate ourselves from the mental traps we unwittingly stumble into. The bottom line is, we do not have to be trapped by the mind. If we train and use it well the mind resembles a faithful servant rather than a tyrannical master. That, however, requires some wisdom, patience, perseverance, careful guidance, courage and more than a little self-compassion.]
Highway and local roads have different speeds. One becomes sustenance chaser, chaser of shadows and his connection with Provider and Sustainer becomes weaker and weaker.
Read 100 books in your field. Be an icon, become a philanthropist.
Benefits: freedom from time and space, reward and punishment (are not opposite). Your focus will be on deliverance. Starts getting acknowledgements of passion and profession matching. Will get signs, pathways, books, magnetism, attraction.
Much depends on mindset. Proves to become lucky. Changing the mindset is start of change. Inspiration and motivation make life worthy. Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it. Opportunities don't happen. You create them.
You will enjoy, will develop the network, will gain knowledge.
Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. Someone is great singer, other is great actor. Even abnormal human have some talent. Some have physical genius, voice, number, observation, social, preaching, builder, developer genius. 422 professions are listed and number is increasing.
Stephen Wiltshire is an artist who draws detailed cityscapes. He has a particular talent for drawing lifelike, accurate impressions of cities, skylines and street scenes after having only observed them briefly.
Talent is like a reservoir. The later the harder, try hard to discover your talent as early as possible. Talent and skill are two different abilities. You have to trim and practice your talent. You can learn a number of skills; writing, reading, speaking, singing, anchoring, management, memory.
Self approval with confidence is first step to discover talent.

Delay and laziness
Where one has interest, never gets tired or bored. Examples are cricket match, YouTube, Social Media. Finding passion needs clarity of mind, realistic goals. From bus station you can go to different cities, not to countries or other planets. It's all destination related. Honey bee goes to flowers.
People seldom keep list of goals (short term, long term) with them.
Difficult tasks make us dishearten but these challenges make life perfect.
The last three or four reps (in body building) is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That’s what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they’ll go through the pain no matter what happens.
The system wants you to be either a bow or an arrow; refuse both, because there is a third choice: To be an archer (a person who shoots with a bow and arrows, especially at a target for sport)!
Gain strength through difficult experiences. There are surprising benefits of going through difficult times.

Self-actualization: to realize one's full potential, the highest level of psychological development where the "actualization" of full personal potential is achieved, which occurs usually after basic bodily and ego needs have been fulfilled.
Four Changes You Can Make to Reach Your Full Potential
1. Write down your goals; You set these goals. Don’t let anybody else tell you what your goals should be. Think of success like breathing air; your last breath is important, but it’s your next breath that’s vital. Goals keep you focused on what’s next, and writing them down keeps you on track.
[Entrepreneurs, educators, healthcare professionals, artists, lawyers and bankers were researched: those who wrote down their goals and dreams on a regular basis achieved desires at a significantly higher level than those who did not.
You become 42% more likely to achieve your goals and dreams, simply by writing them down on a regular basis.
If you just think about your goals or dreams, you’re only using the right hemisphere of your brain, which is your imaginative center.
But, if you think about something that you desire, and then write it down, you also tap into the power of your logic-based left hemisphere.
You send your consciousness and every cell of your body a signal that says, “I want this, and I mean it!”]
2. Choose things just out of reach; Don’t just think about what is “realistic.” The problem with realistic thinking is that it’s usually based on what others think is possible. They don’t know your potential. Whenever you start a task with a mind toward the potential outcome, you will limit the actions required to accomplish that goal.
[Realistic: accepting things as they are in fact and not making decisions based on unlikely hopes for the future.
Guess what? If you’re trying to “be realistic,” you’re not getting anywhere, either.
Being Realistic is the ultimate life killer for 'Your Courageous Life'.]
3. Take massive action; Never do anything normal. Take massive action until one day it is no longer an unusual activity but a habit for you. People will ask you: “Why are you still out this late?” “What are you doing calling on a Saturday?” “You never quit, do you?” And even “What are you on?” Big goals require big actions. Reaching your full potential requires massive actions.
[Massive Action: a consistent effort for a long period of time until a breakthrough is reached.
Goals without plans are just wishes.
Many of us set goals, but not many of us create massive action plans to see those goals through to fruition (the point at which a plan or project is realized).
Massive action is the fuel that powers the engine that we call life. Without taking massive action, we couldn’t realize our goals, we’d be stuck in neutral, unable to get from Point A to Point B].
4. Stay persistent; How do you get a nail in a wall? You hit it over and over and over. Rome wasn’t built in a day. The ability to persist on your path regardless of setbacks, unexpected events, bad news and resistance to continue firmly in your purpose in spite of conditions is a trait common to those who make it. Reaching your potential requires you to be persistent; there are no quitters here.
Winners never quit and quitters never win.
[Harbor unwavering focus. Much of persistence is based on the fundamental prerequisite of focus. When you’re focused on something, it has your full attention and you can approach it persistently. When we lose our focus, we can lose our ability to stay persistent.
Talent, genius, and education mean very little when persistence is lacking.]

Words of knowledge, wisdom and prophecy: If shared inappropriately or in a judgmental way, even prophetic words may hurt the listeners.
Words of knowledge and wisdom are indeed prophetic gifts to you and me.
Prophecy may also be combined with words of knowledge or words of wisdom, in order to increase its impact.

It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently.
