Distraction is a growing concern in this modern world. Directed focus narrows distraction. Generalized focus is distributed attention. With focus we can maximize our pleasure. Accurate prioritization.

Extrinsic motivation, rewards or other incentives — like praise, fame, or money — are used as motivation for specific activities. Unlike intrinsic motivation, external factors drive this form of motivation. Being paid to do a job is an example of extrinsic motivation.
Intrinsic motivation comes from within, while extrinsic motivation arises from outside. When you're intrinsically motivated, you engage in an activity solely because you enjoy it and get personal satisfaction from it. [meditation]
When you're extrinsically motivated, you do something in order to gain an external reward.

Human mind struggle with focus in three distinctive ways; 1) our minds are often full of disturbing thoughts 2) instead of focusing on work, we constantly focus on what we will achieve 3) we are frustrated for not having time.
