Learn How to Reprogram Your Mind

Dr. Joe Dispenza - Learn How to Reprogram Your Mind

Brain is record (history) of our environment (past).

As long as you are thinking equal to your environment, you keep creating the same life.

To truly change is to think greater than your environment. To think greater than the circumstances in your life, to think greater than the conditions in the world.

The hardest part about change is not making the same choices you made the day before.

Having a vision. Personality (think, act, feel). Personality (personal reality; thoughts, behaviors and habits, emotions).

Be Willing to Change. In order to become a better person, you have to be willing to change.

Change is the only way to grow and progress into the person you want to become. Many people are against change, which can make it very hard to grow. When you keep an open mind and are willing to change, you are able to grow into the person you want to become.

Nerve cells that fire together wire together (same sequences, same patterns, same combinations). Reminding everyday who you are, it works and it helps. It generates new sequences, new patterns, new combinations; possible for change.

New information and knowledge make new connections in brain. Learning is forging new connections. [Neuroplasticity allows the brain to establish new connections. Exposing yourself to new cognitive experiences can foster this development. Neuroplasticity refers to the brain’s ability to adapt to new experiences and reorganize itself by forming new neural connections.]

[Learning is a physical process in which new knowledge is represented by new brain cell connections. The strength and formation of these connections are facilitated by chemicals in the brain called growth factors.]

[Learning is forging new synaptic connections. One hour of focused concentration on one concept or idea literally doubles the number of connections in your brain, literally produces physical evidence as a result of your interaction in the environment.] [Synapses are brain structures that allows the neurons to transmit an electrical or chemical signal to another neuron.

Synaptic pruning is thought to be the brain’s way of removing connections in the brain that are no longer needed. Brain is more “plastic” and moldable than previously thought. Synaptic pruning is our body’s way of maintaining more efficient brain function as we get older and learn new complex information.]

Remembering is maintaining and sustaining those connections. [Remembering is not just the process of committing information to memory but also the process of understanding, retention and recall. That is, the process of remembering requires the learner to understand a concept, retain it over a period of time and then recall the concept when it its needed].

Thoughts make chemicals in our brain. Great, unlimited, joyful thoughts turn on fire a sequence and you feel what you think. Negative, unhappy, self-depreciating, unworthy thoughts turn on different set of circuits, different sequence, different pattern and produces different chemicals.

We feel the way we think, and we think the way we feel. We do it for 20-30-40 years. This redundancy creates a state of being. Mind, body and state of mind work in a sequence.

Thoughts are the language of the brain and feelings are the language of the body.

We get caught in this cycle of thinking and feeling and this cycle conditions the body to emotions as well as the conscious mind. This becomes habit. Habit is when our body is the mind. [There are many habits that we get into that keep us from having a strong body and mind. But, there are also habits we can get into that will help to make the body and mind stronger than ever].

[Habit: A recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition.]

95% of who you are by the time you are 35 years old. It is set of behaviors, set of emotional reactions, beliefs, perceptions, attitudes. They run as computer programming. 5% of your conscious mind begins to work against 95% of memorized. This is the reason a person thinks positively but feels negatively. Want to create dream board but they feel unworthy.

We have to re-condition body for a new mind. No one memorize suffering but they refuse to accept change. [People who refuse to change what makes them miserable makes me nuts].

Most people quietly wait for some trauma for change.
Don't wait. Learn the process of change (joy, aspiration) and use it.
[Trying to rush the process of change usually results in going to an extreme only to eventually burn out and have the pendulum swing back to the other extreme. Let change happen at a pace that feels right to you. Shifting our behaviors can take time, practice and patience with ourselves. Remember! change doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be in process].
