Al-Qalam (The Pen) 68:35

أَفَنَجْعَلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ كَالْمُجْرِمِينَ

or should We, perchance (perhaps), treat those who surrender themselves unto Us as [We would treat] those who remain lost in sin?

[Be Muslim or Criminal, it's option but you cannot be both.]

Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) 3:110

كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ وَلَوْ آمَنَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُم مِّنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

You are indeed the best community that has ever been brought forth for [the good of] mankind: you enjoin the doing of what is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong, and you believe in God. Now if the followers of earlier revelation had attained to [this kind of] faith, it would have been for their own good; [but only few] among them are believers, while most of them are iniquitous:

An old lady was carrying a heavy load. Holy Prophet PBUH carried it. She was disbeliever and all the way, she was abusing in the name of Holy Prophet PBUH. At the end of the trip she forced to tell the name and became believer.

One old woman made a habit of throwing rubbish on Holy Prophet PBUH whenever he passed from her house! Holy Prophet PBUH had to pass that house daily on the way to the mosque.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that one who earns by struggle is a friend of Allah (al-kasib habibullah); [Hard worker is friend of Allah SWT; hard working person is beloved to Allah SWT: The upper hand is the giver and the lower hand is the beggar and it is known that a giver is better than the taker.]].

Meccans were very unique type (very hard) idol worshipers. These days one cannot find that type of worshiper.
Islam teaches to help others.

Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) 3:103

وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ اللّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ وَاذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَةَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَاء فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىَ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ

And hold fast, all together, unto the bond with God, and do not draw apart from one another. And remember the blessings which God has bestowed upon you: how, when you were enemies, He brought your hearts together, so that through His blessing you became brethren; and [how, when] you were on the brink of a fiery abyss. He saved you from it. In this way God makes clear His messages unto you, so that you might find guidance,

Islam teaches unity. Sectarianism has no room in Islam.[Sunnis are more than brothers. Dear than your self. Go for modern education. Ayatullah Sistani]
