Self-Control

Self-Control

Doing what’s best in the long-run despite short-term temptations

Strength of Will
“The most important scientific discovery about self-control is that it can be taught.”

Live a life of integrity, learn the art of manliness.

The Art of Manliness (the traditional male quality of being brave and strong) is a one-stop resource for actionable advice that covers every aspect of a man's life: character, career, relationships, fitness, style, skills, and much more. Like a scouting program for grown men, it offers a structure that facilitates a man's growth in body, mind, and spirit.

Our life is what our thoughts make it.

'Nothing happens to anyone that he can't endure.

“Look well into yourself; there is a source of strength which will always spring up if you will always look.”

So you were born to feel 'nice'? Instead of doing things and experiencing them? Don't you see the plants, the birds, the ants and spiders and bees going about their individual tasks, putting the world in order, as best they can? And you're not willing to do your job as a human being? Why aren't you running to do what your nature demands?

“If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.”.

“Take the shortest route. The one that nature planned – to speak and act in the healthiest way. Do that, and be free of pain and stress, free of all calculations and pretension.”

“The first rule is to keep an untroubled spirit. The second is to look things in the face and know them for what they are.”

Keep reminding yourself of the way things are connected, of their relatedness. All things are implicated in one another and in sympathy with each other. This event is the consequence of some other one. Things push and pull on each other, and breathe together, and are one.

Give yourself time to learn something new and good, and cease to be whirled around.

Do external things distract you? Then make time for yourself to learn something worthwhile; stop letting yourself be pulled in all directions.

That is never too often repeated, which is never sufficiently learned.

For building confidence start from building competence. Which is learning; doing small things repeatedly over and over, again and again. Make mistakes, face difficulties, don't stop. Each trial give you some confidence.

'Once you stop learning you start dying'. Albert Einstein

Don’t judge, teach, it’s a learning process.

If we only did things that were easy, we wouldn’t actually be learning anything. We’d just be practicing things we already knew.

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.

Knowing fact and reality is freedom. Misconception and baseless myths are chains (prison). You need to adapt absolute and complete denial and negation. Now you will be connected to infinite learning and potential. Now you don't need to achieve highest possibility. It has already been achieved with just clear awareness.

Best learning is by doing.

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” We all have the same 24 hours. And learning to use them to their best potential is at the core of time management.

“Engaging in lifelong learning to improve your public speaking skills is far from drudgery (uninspiring, dull work) . It can lead to a better job, higher profits, more donations, and public policy objectives. That sounds like fun to me.”

We are human. We are not perfect. We are alive. We try things. We make mistakes. We stumble. We fall. We get hurt. We rise again. We try again. We keep learning. We keep growing. And we are thankful for this priceless opportunity called life.

Reading, writing, talking with other success-minded folks, and learning from a mentor are all part of a solid personal development plan.

Language learning is an important skill. Skills are three types; writing, speaking, looking ahead is life and looking behind is death'. When you start your journey of learning, you face cruel insulting, humiliating people.

We can obtain leadership qualities through teaching and learning over time.

Learning skills is result of hard work and following mentors and stops learning tomorrow is uneducated the day after.

Simply dreaming have no results. Discipline and determination is the key. Learning Attitude; earning is related to learning.

We can take Pareto’s 80 20 rule and apply it to almost any situation. Understanding the principle is essential to learning how to prioritize your tasks, days, weeks, and months.

You dedicate yourself to continuous learning, learning is growing.

Measuring Learning Ability; An individual's ability to learn is determined by their fluid intelligence or their ability to learn new things from scratch and then apply that knowledge in different ways. Fluid intelligence can be measured with the help of abstract reasoning or spatial (relating to or occupying space) reasoning tests.
Education and learning in the world will not produce results if it is not put in to action.

Formula for success: MA x RS x C = R; Massive action x right stuff x consistency = results

'The man who graduates today and stops learning tomorrow is uneducated the day after'.

You're never too old to start learning, and you're never too young to aim high and achieve great things. You're never too young to start teaching.
Every rejection and every no tells you who you are. Don't let someone else's opinion of you become your reality.

Learning process is slow. Learn from mistakes like writing, walking, riding bicycle. You can define boundaries and limits. Learn to analyze the difference between friend and family friend.

Consciousness, curiosity, interest of improving and learning makes difference between human and animal.
Donkey and monkey have no change in past 4,000 years.
Challenge is that we become static in learning.

New books, learning sessions, libraries, seminars, Google.

When learning to swim, an hour in the pool is more useful than a year poolside.

For every minute you are angry, you lose sixty seconds of happiness.
