Goal setting structure is optimum utilization of available resources. Goal setting leads you to the person you would like to be. To make yourself more industrious (diligent and hard-working), micro routine analysis would help. Specifying goals will enable to clarify vague and foggy path and a study to specify conditions for failure on micro-level. Avoiding to face these small failures will result in a big catastrophe, big failure. Keeping self blind will not bypass failure. It might be anxiety provoking and threatening but still it's worth living while facing the facts of life and small failures.
One example is, not scheduling a day with the fear that it will put some responsibility but on the other hand it's driving to a much more complicated situation. With a little thinking one can easily convince self of unbelievably usefulness of scheduling the day. Then it will reflect on week to week, month to month and that’s where a schedule can be unbelievably useful.
Some people may see it a prison and may choose to spend time with no schedule and name it 'fun'. Scheduling means taking responsibility. Sometimes maybe 20% of your day has to be responsibility and obligation or maybe it’s more than that depending on how efficient you like right ratio of responsibility to reward. Responsibility has proportion with reward and otherwise are consequences. Scheduling obviously make us more productive and we can have a good life. Scheduling is blocking the time from wasting.
